Patients presenting with sore throats and concerns that they may have Strep A or Scarlet Fever are being seen as quickly as possible by a medical professional.

You will need to use an alternate method for ordering prescriptions.

Prescribing of over the counter medicines is changing

Your GP, nurse or pharmacist will not generally give you a prescription for over the counter medicines for a range of minor health concerns.

Improving Access

Improving access to primary care MORE APPOINTMENTS AVAILABLE NOW There are now more routine primary care appointments available making it easier for you to get an appointment at a time that suits you in the evenings and at weekends. The Improving Access Service is not a walk-in service – you need to make an appointment. You may be offered an appointment at a practice that is not your usual practice and you may be seen by someone other than your usual GP. You can book an appointment up to 8pm weekdays, on Saturday and Sunday mornings and Bank Holidays.
